The manual screen changer, as the name implies, is to directly switch the screen changing device manually. The manual screen changer has the advantages of small size and low cost, but its shortcomings are also obvious: the speed of the screen change is slow, and the screen needs to be shut down to change the screen. Due to friction resistance and sealing performance, the screen diameter is generally below 100mm.

The hydraulic automatic screen changer relies on a hydraulic station with a complicated structure to switch back and forth the screen changing plate or screen changing column. The hydraulic automatic screen changer has the advantages of compact volume, good back pressure sealing, and fast screen change speed. Its shortcomings are relatively more acceptable: higher cost and complicated hydraulic structure.
